Those few minutes were likely spent downloading the modpack. If the game then closes immediately after launching, this may be another case of wrong Java version. Java 7 is still recommended to run Tekkit (currently update 67), and there is a known issue that will prevent the game from starting on Java 8 (update 20 and newer). If that's not it, please take the issue to the tracker, and try to gather >crash logs.

The Division Sigil also drops from the Wither boss if you manage to kill him. Other than that, good random loot luck in any kind of dungeon. Once you obtained one, you need to perform the activation ritual. It takes a bit of preparing, and you should have a Silk Touch tool if you intend to make use of the Cursed Ground.
-
Railcraft was taken out at the request of the mod author. I think you'll need to convince him first.

Sure. Cooperation is always nice. I consider EE3 a tool to get things done when you don't have teammates to share tedious tasks with. Remember that it's far easier to get that Mystcraft Age stable when only the Deep Lakes are made of Resonant Ender, not the ocean. A cave world might be useful, as it does not have oceans anyway.

You can do that. But ironically, Glowstone is actually harder to obtain than Blaze Powder. Once you get a Blaze farm going, the rods should come puring in. To date, I have not learned of any way to mass-produce Glowstone (other than yellow-focus Laser Drills, of course). A Mystcraft Age with Glowstone tendrils may still be an option, but you will have to get a stable Age with that first, and then go and actually mine the stuff.

Well, EE3 will effectively give you unlimited Iron, Gold, Diamond and Ender Pearls once you have an Obsidian generator. The only other thing limiting your progress will be Enderium, i.e. Shiny Metal to make it. Which can be obtained from smelting Ferrous Ore with Cinnabar in an Induction Smelter. Cinnabar can be had by pulverizing Redstone Ore, which in turn is obtained either with a Silk Touch pickaxe or by simply smelting Nether Redstone Ore. Blaze Powder for the Pyrotheum (to smelt the Enderium Blend) is the other scarce resource, but once you have a Reusable Safari Net, just catch a Blaze and put it into an Auto-Spawner in front of a Grinder. Unlimited Blaze Rods. Knowing that, getting Tesseracts should be rather simple.

I have grown rather fond of the Natura mod, if only for the giant redwood trees... Now try and tell me that this is not amazing.

You can of course use an Ender Tank, if you have the resources to make one. As for chunk loading, a Dimensional Anchor is the cheapest way to keep chunks loaded, but you could also use a Chunk Loader. A nice alternative that will also take care of the chunk loading is using an Ender-Thermic Pump instead of the Buildcraft one. This one has the added advantage of replacing all removed lava blocks with stone or cobble.

Items will only be missing if you messed around with the modpack. You can always open the modpack options in the launcher (cogwheel icon under the modpack) and choose to reset the pack. As for your issue, it might be that you are trying with Tin from another mod, which is not oredicted and thus not recognized as proper Tin for the recipe. The real solution is dropping that ancient modpack and switching to Tekkit Main. If you want to keep using Lite, go here for gameplay help. In the future, please check first what you are using and go to the correct forum, and also try not to hijack unrelated threads.
-
Well, the easier solution is Deep Storage Units for the mass items. But since you'll want to go to the Deep Dark eventually, it's not a bad idea to start making Compressed Cobblestone with your first Quarry.

You are not using Tekkit. That's Tekkit Lite, which is an entirely different and severely outdated modpack. No wonder it won't work. Not sure if Thermal Expansion is even in there.

tekkit sever 10slots new the ip is : http://www.kittenwar.com/
Curunir replied to Assasen7's topic in Tekkit Discussion
I'm pretty sure it also violates Tekkit forum rules, and on top of that, it smells fishy. Don't give money to strangers, kids. -
Maybe nobody replied because it's hard to figure out what you mean. This does not make any sense. Are you manually changing any mods and expecting them to miraculously update on their own? Try using the server console to set your user's rights. If that fails, use the server console to control the server.
-
You are most likely using Tekkit 1.2.9e, which is based on Minecraft 1.6.4. You simply got the Itemduct recipe wrong, its Tin-Lead-Tin. The transparent ones take Hardened Glass instead of Lead in the middle. All TE ducts, including Conduits, are crafted with the frame material on the edges and the side wall material in the middle.

And if you're like me, and hate sieving through videos to find useful information, you can also >read up on the basics.

1.2.9e atomic science 1.2 fission reactor problems
Curunir replied to gzcwnk's topic in Tekkit Discussion
As far as I'm aware, Fission Reactors are having such severe issues that they are considered broken in the current version. You can of course try to prove otherwise. Guides on this may be in short supply, because Atomic Science is out of development and I doubt that people will make guides for broken mods. The contents of the mod have moved to Resonant Induction, which is not in Tekkit, but might be included at some point when Atomic Science is dropped out.Tekkit devs have not commented on this issue so far. Somebody was nice and wrote an >introduction to Fusion Reactors a while back, which apparently work much better. The stable and safe option is to use Yellorium Reactors from the BigReactors mod. You probably know that, but I'm dropping it here for others who may stumble upon this thread. -
The redundance between TE and Mekanism may be true, but I chiefly want Mekanism for the personal gear it provides. The hydrogen-powered jetpack is a nice alternative to Simply Jetpacks, and the other functional armour pieces together make for a good replacement to MPS. Which needs replacement or an overhaul, imo. As for out-of-place textures, we have been suffering from that with MPS for a long time now anyway, and people are probably used to it. And agreed on the unnecessary biome mods. O'Plenty has some nice details, but does not deliver much when you take its resource cost into consideration. I have also been annoyed by GeoStrata, which will give you major headaches in early-game quarrying - unless you void-pipe all the stuff. Its decorative uses are also vastly outdone by Chisel.
-
Looks like I invoked some powerful magicks here. When I returned to the Mystcraft Age I use for quarrying just now, I ran across a Blizz after all. It spawned in an Icy Hills biome, a landscape dominated by trees made from transparent ice blocks. I have never seen that in the Overworld.

RAM is the very thing that people usually just call memory. With a shitload of mods (as Simon would probably put it), RAM usage can become rather immense. But any half-decent machine has 8 GiB these days, 6 of which should be usable at the very least for a game. I ran the current FTB Monster (184 mods) fine on my 8 GiB machine. What bochen actually meant was that the Technic Launcher should have enough variety that people won't even need to look at the competition. Which would normally include a featured sandwich-with-everything pack. The problem is, somebody needs to maintain it.

You must have overlooked it. BigReactors is still in the pack, and has been for quite a while. Make sure you are looking at Tekkit, not Tekkit Classic or Tekkit Lite, which are entirely different (and severely outdated) modpacks. Blizzes are from Thermal Expansion, as is Gelid Cryotheum, which requires Blizz Rods (more precisely: Blizz Powder) as part of its crafting recipe. BigReactors updated a few versions back to support Cryotheum as the top-level coolant, and has worked fine with that ever since. Resonant Ender is almost as good, though. The issue you may refer to is the extreme rarity of Blizzes. They are supposed to spawn in Taiga biomes (and Ice Plains, which I never even saw so far). The thing is, they are so rare that they might as well not be in the game. To this day, I have not seen a single one, and don't ask me how many game hours that was. Once, even my home was located in a Taiga biome and no Blizz would ever show up. So, how to obtain Blizz Powder anyway? A Peaceful Table can grind the rods for you if you locate it in a Taiga biome and set the gamemode to peaceful. It won't drop many, but they will be there. Alternatively, you can just put snowballs in a Fluid Transposer and pipe in Destabilized Redstone. I daresay that 99% of all Blizz Powder is generated that way, because those damn mobs are so rare.

Mo'Creatures, yes, that brings back memories of ages past. But it turns out that the mod is still alive. May still be useful for what you want to do. That would be bukkake, which is an invention of the Japanese porn movie makers. As for the name Bukkit, I believe it's a deliberate misspelling of bucket. It's a plugin enabler for Minecraft servers (iirc), while Cauldron used to be the real server customization tool. Not easy to handle, and also recently beset by legal issues. Cauldron is (was?) the successor to Forge, so it may be necessary to set this up for Mo'Creatures to work. Good luck hunting down the files.

As an alternative to retrogen, you could just use a copy of the existing world and see if the new mod ores spawn correctly in a new Mystcraft Age, or in a far-away mining base located in newly-generated chunks. Both will give you access to those ores. If you like the results, stick with the copied world. Also, the dump feature of NEI can help with resolving ID conflicts. It's in the ingame NEI menu somewhere and will create a dump file with all IDs currently in the game, for reference.

I would actually be happy to see DDoors removed. At the very least it needs to become more stable and stop causing so many world file corruptions. Gameplay-wise, it's mostly trolling in the vein of Mojang's own infamy - which Minecraft already has enough of, imo. I have been using Tinker's Construct and crafted some high-end stuff way back when I played BigDig for a while. It's not too hard to understand, but I consider power tools like Redstone Arsenal infinitely better than those TiC toys. TiC is neither magic nor technology, just lots of fiddling with microparts, which is entirely not my cup of tea. The smelting part does have some appeal, though. The oreberries are nice, but I should like them to smelt to default nuggets, not some random weirdness that needs to run through the Unifier before it will even stack. As usual, modpack configuration can make the difference between useful and totally obnoxious. OpenBlocks adds many great utility items, somewhat like Extra Utilities does, and should be a high priority for a modernized Tekkit. Mekanism also looks extremely nice, not least for the hydrogen-powered jetpack and other high-level personal gear. Might be a good much better replacement for MPS if that fails to make the jump. The factory components may need some balancing to fit in with the other tech mods, but that seems definitely worth doing. I tinkered around with Chisel a bit and built myself a temple. The Chisel tool is a bit weird to use, but the results are great. I should mention that I have been strolling around and looked at most of those mods in other modpacks. Tekkit should get some kind of alpha cobbled together soon, or players will migrate towards something else.
