EmmettLee Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Um, everything? Launch the Tekkit modpack from TechnicLauncher(.jar/.exe, depending on your platform). http://www.technicpack.net/download Select the Tekkit Modpack, press the gear icon underneath it, change to manually select a build then select 1.1.5. I did everything as per your request everything works. But how can I became a Server on the internet?
Zleubb Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Not enough information here, how is your mac set up, what are your trying to craft, does it blend these questions and more are relevant to your case and should be answer to receive one. Everything works fine, i'm stupid and was trying to get 4 planks from 4 wood.
KingEtzel Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Tried it with uranite in chemical extractor and add water ? it has a different processing part to make uranium pellets.. no recipes, but if you check the mod spotlight it should shed some light on it and how to do it. Thanks! Thought that no recipes in nei meant no recipes at all. Was still thinking of ic2 uranium which was processed like a normal ore So the question remains if retrogeneration in already generated chunks supposed to work is? That would be nice, otherwise a faraway quarry with tesseracts and a rift signature spacetime-tunnel to your base isn't really annoying. Thanks so far for all the replies
lonix Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 I did everything as per your request everything works. But how can I became a Server on the internet? To be honest, if you feel the need to ask that question, you should probably not venture into that quite yet, rather try to join another server with your buddys, play the game and have fun :)
Dogscast the Zephoz Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Help! My tekkit lags so much that there is a white screen and it can't even start an error report! This has been a big problem!
Phoenix92 Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Help! My tekkit lags so much that there is a white screen and it can't even start an error report! This has been a big problem! Mind giving us more details? What version of Java, how much RAM are you allocating it, what are your system specs, does this happen on vanilla, etc ?
Clawx207 Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 I seriously hope that the server lag issue gets fixed in the next update, ive turned off just about any chunk loader/modifier in the config and still i drop to 15 tps constantly

Problem solved, lag gone. Same thing happend to me, but my server hit 2.5 TPS from that ONE mod installed.
Clawx207 Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 ill give that a look zil but id rather not remove it do to it being such an awesome addition :(
AquatikJustice Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 So I upload the new server files, update my client, and check the console to make sure there are no errors. All looks good. Then I attempt to connect and get this: Is anyone else getting anything like this?
Tassyr Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 So here's an odd one. I tested out the 'floodlight' mod, pointing them out sideways- and now there's permanent points of light where the beams terminated that I can't remove. Anyone else get THAT one?
Clawx207 Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 floodlight beams act as their own block so try placing a block on top of where the flood light beam was pointing And aqua try reseting everything and get back to us
AquatikJustice Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Claw, reinstalling everything on both ends was what I tried first. Still getting the message.
Phoenix92 Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Aquatik, did you change the id's for any item in those mods? Are you sure both the server and client are running 1.1.5?
Phoenix92 Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Also, about the lag people are reporting, my server sits at 20TPS with 10 people, with the Overworld, Nether, and a Mystcraft Age constantly loaded, with 16 quarries and about 200 magmatic engines running in loaded chunks. I believe it may be a hardware problem, not the server. Of course, something very well may have glitched. Also, regarding lag, we had been pumping a TON of lava from the nether. The server TPS was hovering around 15 TPS. I was the only person on, but there are chunk loaders around the nether pumps. I went to the nether and "fixed" all the lava around the pumps with WorldEdit. All the lag immediately went away.
weirleader Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 I went to the nether and "fixed" all the lava around the pumps with WorldEdit. All the lag immediately went away. I don't know much about WorldEdit -- would you mind explaining what you mean by "fixing" the lava?
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted June 21, 2013 Discord Moderator Posted June 21, 2013 Go to location in nether with "consumed" lava Stand at the lowest level of the consumption with your character just touching a bit of lava at that level (creative mode helps here, but MMMPS works too) type "/fixlava 150" Continue "up" levels at that location until all lava in that area is "fixed" if ( ! lavaFixed == true ) goto #1

My question was even more basic; by 'fixing', do you mean replacing, correcting some sort of bad data, or making it non-'flowing'?
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted June 21, 2013 Discord Moderator Posted June 21, 2013 Hehe, ahh. Yes, the WorldEdit "fixlava" command finds flowing lava and turns it back into a source block.
Clawx207 Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 i found another thing that ended the lag compeletly on my server, if you are using mcpcplus, you can go into the bukki.yml, an option "load chunks on request" is set to true, i turned that to false and now i'm not having any lag
AquatikJustice Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Phoenix, I have never changed a single ID (in < 1.0.6 or 1.1.5) and I am positive that both are running 1.1.5. Could it be that upgrading my world from 1.0.6 to 1.1.5 is just not going to work?
Clawx207 Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 i upgraded my world from 1.0.6 to 1.1.1 to 1.1.5 so i dont think there should be a problem with that
AquatikJustice Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 At this point I have deleted every single trace of Technic from my PC, redownloaded the launcher and let it redownload all of the files for 1.1.5. I stopped the server, deleted everything and replaced it with clean 1.1.5 files. Still getting the mismatched IDs. I give up
